Sitting at The Red Light

Sadly, it is true that no real progress has been made on this route. My personal life has really limited the amount of time I can dedicate to building a route and what free time I do have I like to spend playing the sim. I do want to create this route though and have not given up. But I need to spend a lot of time with tutorials before it can even be seriously considered.

I have ideas for even more routes in my head. The only quick solution I see would be to find a route builder to team up with. I would be perfectly happy to do the research and take care of the terrain and decals and then hand it off to a true builder to lay the track, etc.

So if you are a route builder and you read this and would be interested in talking about working together and how we could help each other, please shoot me a quick note.

Welcome, Railfans!

And so it begins. Welcome to my blog to chronicle the progress of my new Train Simulator 2012 route - Cincinnati Southern. This is my first attempt at a route and will begin part of the First District of the Norfolk Southern Central Division. I am beginning with a 10-mile stretch starting just south of the Queensgate Yard in Cincinnati, crossing the Ohio River at Ludlow, KY and continuing south to Erlanger, KY.

This section of track will contain many bridges and trestles, a couple of yards, shops at Ludlow and the Erlanger Hill.

The first step was completed last night as I imported the USGS terain data into the route. Next step is to figure out RWDecal and get some Google Earth tiles imported.

Stay tuned...
